Overloading the Machine
Lemonade
- 6 large lemons
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 cups cold water
Roll lemons on hard surface until soft. Cut lemons in half and squeeze out juice. Strain into a large pitcher. Add sugar and 1 cup water. Mix until lemon pulp is crushed. Add remaining water and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add sugar, if needed. Slice lemons and add for color. Add ice cubes and serve.
So people complain that there’s a lot of rubbish online, or that it’s
dominated by Americans, or that you can’t necessarily trust what you read on
the web. Imagine trying to apply any of those criticisms to what you hear on
the telephone. Of course you can’t ‘trust’ what people tell you on the web
anymore than you can ‘trust’ what people tell you on megaphones, postcards or
in restaurants.
